LOS ANGELES, Calif., July 24, 2025 – Today on opening night of San Diego Comic-Con 2025, of the world’s largest pop culture and entertainment conventions, Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. revealed major announcements around three major Gundam series during the panel event “GUNDAM Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing.”
News highlights:
●Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary illustration inspired by the classic artwork was revealed.
●Commemorative video titled “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing – Operation 30th –” directed by Toru Iwasawa available on GundamInfo, the official Gundam YouTube channel.
●Gundam Wing illustrator Sakura Asagi and screenwriter Katsuyuki Sumisawa team up for a new manga series commemorating the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing that bridges the gap between Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop, with chapter 1 available to read online now.
●A theatrical re-release of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz will arrive in Japanese and American theaters.

New Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Illustration Revealed
Inspired by the iconic eye catch designs from the original anime broadcast, an original illustration has been revealed celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
Commemorative video titled “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing – Operation 30th –” Now Released
A new video titled Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Anniversary Video -Operation 30th-, directed by Toru Iwasawa , who has served as an action director and animation director on numerous works is now available on GundamInfo.The video features new mobile suits and characters not seen in the original anime, including the “Cloaked Custom,” a newly designed unit draped in a mantle; Adin Lowe, a guardian who takes in the child Heero Yuy—left behind by a former comrade—and teaches him how to survive; and Meilan, the wife of Chang Wufei.
