The Second Round of Yokohama’s Gundam x Illumination AR Photo Rally Begins Today! Featuring the GQuuuuuuX, Machu, Banagher, Suletta, and More!
Celebrating the release of the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- Theatrical Version!
The second round of the Gundam x Illumination AR Photo Rally began today on Monday, January 20th, at the Yokohama waterfront area in Kanagawa. It is free of charge, and the event will be held until Sunday, March 2nd.
This project celebrates the release of the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- Theatrical Version. AR effects of characters from various Gundam series titles will appear at illumination spots such as the Yokohama Chinese New Year Festival 2025 and Winter Wonder Park Yokohama 2024 in Yamashita Park, which are a part of the Night Yokohama Illumination 2024-25 event. Anyone with a smartphone can participate in the AR photo rally without installing an app.
In addition to the six characters from the first round, the second round starts today and a total of eight new characters such as Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) from GQuuuuuuX, as well as characters from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Mobile Suit Gundam THE WITCH FROM MERCURY will join the AR lineup.
Don't miss this opportunity to take photos with your favorite characters with the light shows as backdrops.
