Asako greeted the press and shared his thoughts on the pavilion.
Asako: “The grand world of the Gundam series is full of new technologies and possibilities that are yet to be realized, and this pavilion is a place that portrays them as possibilities for the future of humanity. The Life-sized Gundam Statue on display for this Expo is in a pose where it stretches its hand toward the sky, conveying the message that it is a monument with its eyes fixed on the future that advances toward a space age alongside humanity. I am looking forward to visitors from all over the world to experience the Gundam Pavilion. Nothing would make me happier if the pavilion becomes a place that inspires children, who will lead the future, to become interested in new technologies and space, and to discover new dreams.”
The interior of the Gundam Pavilion was also revealed at the media preview, which will be introduced in a photo report.
The Osaka-Kansai Expo will finally open on Sunday, April 13th. Be sure to check it out!
