The immersive VR film MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: Silver Phantom has been officially selected in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s VR Series category. The festival will be held in Annecy, France, from Sunday, June 8th to Saturday, June 14th, 2025.
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was created in 1960 when the animation section of the Cannes Film Festival was separated. It is the world's longest-running and largest animation film festival.
MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: Silver Phantom is a VR feature film for the Meta Quest co-produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and Atlas V, which has produced various VR works, and was distributed by Astrea. It attracted attention from around the world, including a nomination for the Immersive category at the 81st Venice International Film Festival in 2024.
Set in the year 0096 of the Universal Century, you can enjoy an unprecedented experience in a life-sized Universal Century while participating in the story as the protagonist who belongs to Argent Keil, an unofficial mercenary organization that is neither the Federation nor Zeon.
