The Archangel’s repair and replenishment are completed and it prepares to leave Orb. Meanwhile, Athrun’s Zala Team is outside the Orb territorial waters, waiting for the Archangel to sail out.
Cagalli prepares to leave with the Archangel but her father Uzumi persuades her to “learn the roots of war” and she decides to stay. The Orb fleet escort and sail ahead to help camouflage the Archangel, but its departure is easily spotted by the Zala Team. As soon as the Archangel leaves Orb’s waters, the four Gundams launch and attack. Kira and Mu sortie from the Archangel, followed by Tolle who became the new pilot of the Sky Grasper.
In the midst of the fierce battle, Kira’s Strike Gundam changes its outfit from artillery Launcher to Aile for aerial combat. The fight with Athrun’s Aegis Gundam is exceptionally intense. Nicol’s Blitz Gundam, in his Mirage Colloid stealth mode, comes between them and tries to cover for Athrun. But then, Kira’s sword slices into the cockpit and through Nicol.
Blitz Gundam explodes in all directions…
