The three items that are part of STRICT-G.ARMS 2023F/W Second Outer Collection will go on sale on Saturday, November 11th, at STRICT-G, the apparel shop that incorporates the worldview of the Gundam series.
STRICT-G.ARMS is a series that is made from a faithful imagining if the Universal Century was actually real to create daily apparel with a realistic military style that also has some playfulness to it.
This collection is made up of three pieces: a JOHNNY RIDDEN leather jacket version of the A-2 flight jacket that was officially adopted by the US Army Aviation Corps in 1931 for use in “light zone” climate regions with temperatures between 10℃-30℃; and a ZEON FORCES model and RED COMET model of the LEVEL7 jacket that’s the final layer of the ECWCS layering system used by the US army.

The shell uses horsehide for its characteristic luster, and by using polyester for the sleeve lining, the jacket becomes easy to put on and take off.
There’s a hook fastener at the neck followed by snaps all the way down. There are ventilation holes beneath the arms to reduce stuffiness, and the front uses a zipper by CONMAR with a leather pull so you can close or open your jacket even while you’re wearing gloves.
The hem is ribbed to fit snugly around your waist while the collar has snap buttons so it won’t flutter. Both sides have flat pockets with snaps, and there’s an inner pocket in the left breast lining.
This JOHNNY RIDDEN model has bold emblem badges on the left side of the chest and on the right sleeve and the right side of the chest is embroidered with the text “J.RIDDEN.” The left shoulder has a print. The glossy horsehide matches well with denim or chinos, so this is one jacket that would be perfect for an American-style casual outfit. This is an excellent product that will only grow finer with age if it’s taken care of properly.

A LAYER7 jacket is the final layer in the layering system used by the US Army, ECWCS, and is an extremely heat-insulating jacket that’s meant to be worn in cold areas.
In order to keep the price down while still keeping it a good quality item, the stuffing uses Thinsulate, a fabric that is 1.5 to 2 times as warm as regular down. On top of that, the shell is made with nylon for protection against cold, wind, and water.
Also, the silhouette can easily be changed using the drawcord attached to the inside of the front pocket. By tightening the hem, it creates a tighter seal to block the wind. The collar is equipped with a hood that can be unfastened and released using Velcro.
