Pre-orders for two types each of STRICT-G JAPAN Miyata Orimono Mobile Suit Gundam Gundam Series 45th Anniversary Hantens and Long Hantens begin at 1:00 PM (JST) on Friday, December 6, 2024 through Premium Bandai’s STRICT-G Online Store.
Padded hantens (Japanese short coats) have been released in collaboration with Miyata Orimono, a cotton fabric manufacturer founded in 1913 in Chikugo City, Fukuoka Prefecture, to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series.
The long-standing padded hanten style has been revised to create an elegant and retro model with cut sleeves which fits snugly against the body and keeps you warm. The exterior is made of Japanese cotton "kitsunebi," which has a delicate design with a gradation effect, with the traditional "shippo” pattern that has been used at celebratory occasions since ancient times as a good luck motif, changed into three stages. The filling is made of 100% cotton, which is used in high-priced items. It is a luxurious specification worthy of an item commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series.
The hantens are available in two striking designs, with the Mobile Suits of both the Earth Federation and Zeon forces designed with dynamic brushstrokes on the back. Both are also available in long sizes that suit sizes 2L to 3L.
They will be sold at each physical STRICT-G store starting Saturday, December 7, 2024, so be sure to visit and check them out.
