STRICT-G, the apparel shop that features the world of Gundam, has announced Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack and Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway denim made in collaboration with EDWIN, one of Japan’s top domestic jeans makers, to go on sale on Saturday, March 5th.
These collaboration jeans are using the EDWIN JERSEYS model, a hugely popular series of denim that was made to be incredibly comfortable. Their biggest point is using their exclusive fabric that has excellent elasticity and looks like denim, so it feels like you’re wearing soft fabric like a knit. As the series’ name implies, it’s as comfortable as jersey fabric.
From Char’s Counterattack comes two types, the Amuro Ray and Char Aznable models, while Hathaway has the MAFTY model. Each one comes in two colors.

These jeans are a regular straight cut, which have an orthodox silhouette where the leg goes straight down. They’re relatively loose but the hem is not so wide that it seems sloppy, so they match well with all kinds of shoes. The hip pocket has Amuro’s personal mark or Neo Zeon’s mark stitched on it. Along with the leather patch featuring an original design, the front left pocket also has the appropriate mark embroidered on it.
