Appearances by Professional Wrestler and Gundam Fan Mina Shirakawa and G.M.G. Developers at GUNDAM Café TOKYO! Special Program Report for the September 20th Event
Never-heard-before stories from the development of G.M.G.!
The experience-based entertainment restaurant facility GUNDAM Café TOKYO BRAND CORE (GUNDAM Café TOKYO) hosted a special program on Sunday, September 20th.
During this special program, the emcee was Nozomi Nishiyama, while the guests were Koji Takakura (MegaHouse), Gen Igarashi (PINPOINT), as well as female professional wrestler and Gundam fan, Mina Shirakawa. They discussed various topics ranging from the Gundam series that they loved to behind-the-scenes stories related to G.M.G. products.
Nishiyama and Shirakawa started off the event. During the state of emergency in Japan, Shirakawa built her first Gundam and turned into a huge fan right away. This time she spoke passionately about her love for Gundam while showing off her HYAKU-SHIKI - the first MS she ever painted - and her pink QUBELEY, which had been a present from a fan.
After Nishiyama and Shirakawa’s segment about Gundam got the crowd warmed up, MegaHouse’s Takakura and PINPOINT’s Igarashi, who were both developers behind G.M.G. (Gundam Military Generation), also made their appearance. The talk then turned to behind-the-scenes development as well as the points that they paid particular attention to.

Following that, the special points of G.M.G were introduced. Takakura brought attention to the fact that it has 51 parts in total and that special care was taken to make sure that it could take on poses expected of a military figure.
After experiencing the G.M.G. herself, Shirakawa joked, “It’s even more movable than I am,” inviting laughter from the audience. She added that she had gotten to interact with one backstage before the event, and was surprised that it was able to replicate various poses including her own signature move, the Romero Special.
Lastly, the presenters had messages for the fans.
MegaHouse’s Takakura said, “MegaHouse wants to get the hobby industry excited. Along with Gundam, we create various figures that we would love for lots of people to buy and from now on, we’ll keep producing even more.”
From PINPOINT’s Igarashi, “When we received the prototype, I realised just how good a product G.M.G. had become. From now on, we’ll keep working hard to make products that everyone can enjoy.”
Shirakawa also said, “Up until now I wasn’t interested in anything other than professional wrestling, so I’m so happy I got to participate in a Gundam event like this one. Getting to immerse myself in the universe of Gundam at the Gundam Café TOKYO today has made me all the more excited to enjoy more of it!”
Many more special program days have been planned at GUNDAM Café TOKYO. For the latest information, please check the GUNDAM Café Official Website.
