Sunrise World Tokyo is Opening 3/18 in Ikebukuro! Mobile Suit Gundam is Appearing for the First Time in a Special Exhibition!

Sunrise World Tokyo, a limited time only shop displaying production materials and related toys for Sunrise brand works, will open on Saturday, March 18th, at Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

Sunrise World was held in Hakata and Yokohama in July 2022. At this third venue, Sunrise World Tokyo, approximately 400 items, mainly production materials, will be exhibited. They were selected from amongst the more than 300 Sunrise brand series created to date.

In addition to the free permanent exhibition area, there is also a paid exhibition area called Special Exhibition. The theme of the special exhibition changes each period, and the contents are worth seeing. They include valuable production materials such as animation cells and original reproductions, toys from the time period, program advertising posters, and other nostalgic items, as well as photo op spots.

In the original goods sales corner, in addition to T-shirts with series logos, Domiteriors, and Sunrise logo goods, a service that is only available at this venue allows you to print your favorite poster design on the spot from among 100 designs, mainly posters advertising Sunrise brand works from the time they were broadcast.
Additionally, Fortune Lattes (latte art) printed with logos and illustrations of Sunrise brand works will also be sold at the cafe in Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo.

This is a limited time only shop where you can immerse yourself in the worldview and history of many masterpieces that continue to shine even today, so be sure to stop by.

The Special Exhibition, a paid exhibition area, holds exhibitions with various themes throughout the year. We plan to change the theme eight times a year.
The first installment will feature “15 Works that Supported Sunrise’s Early Days,” a selection of works from Invincible Super Man Zambot 3, the first memorable Sunrise brand work made in 1977, to works from 1982. You can enjoy exhibits of masterpieces that continue to shine even today, such as the TV and movie trilogy of Mobile Suit Gundam, Science Adventure Command Tansar 5, and White Fang Story.
Additionally, as an admission bonus, you can receive a mini illustration replica of an original illustration drawn by Yuichi Higuchi, the mechanical designer for Space Runaway Ideon.
