Expo 2020 Dubai, an expo to commemorate the 50th anniversary of UAE's founding, has been postponed by one year and will be held from Friday, October 1st, 2021 to Wednesday, March 31st, 2022 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The name “Expo 2020 Dubai” will be kept despite the postponement of the event.
The Dubai Expo is the first registered expo in the Middle East and African regions and will be held in Dubai, UAE.
The theme of the Japanese Pavilion is “where ideas meet” and will offer unique experiences to visitors which can be enjoyed not only through its architecture and exhibitions but through the entire pavilion. Preparations are underway for exhibits that aim to create new values born through an intersection of people and ideas. They will feature young Japanese talent who will lead the next generation as well as companies that support them.
A total of 14 PR ambassadors, including the Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam, have been assigned to the Japan Pavilion.
