Fukuoka's Life-sized νGundam Statue Gets a Limited Winter Light-up & New Wall Projection Show Mobile Suit Gundam ALC ENCOUNTER Starting November 24! Tomokazu Seki, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Wataru Takagi will be at the Lighting Ceremony!

The Life-size νGundam Statue at Forest Park in LaLaport Fukuoka will feature a limited Winter '24-'25 version light-up, scheduled to run from Sunday, November 24, 2024 to Sunday, February 16, 2025.

To clebrate this year’s 45th anniversary of the Gundam series, the statue will be lit up with the tricolor that represents Gundam.
On Sunday, November 24, Tomokazu Seki (voice of Domon Kasshu from Mobile Fighter G Gundam), Hikaru Midorikawa (voice of Heero Yuy from Mobile Suit Gundam W), and Wataru Takagi (voice of Garrod Ran from Mobile Suit Gundam X) will make a guest appearance for the lighting ceremony.
The ceremony will feature various events such as a talk show/raffle by the guests and a screening with stage greetings titled Gundam G/W/X 30th Special Screening with Domon, Heero, and Garrod! in Gundam Theater @Fukuoka.

Also, a new original wall projection show Mobile Suit Gundam ALC ENCOUNTER will be screened at night starting Sunday, November 24. The special animation is set in LaLaport Fukuoka under the theme of “A Gundam no one has ever seen,” so be sure to check it out!

This year, the statue will be lit up with the tricolor representing Gundam to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series. A tree decorated with many ornaments that evoke 45 years of history will also be displayed, making LaLaport Fukuoka an amazing photo spot for many to enjoy.

A special screening event has been announced to celebrate Mobile Fighter G Gundam, which marks its 30th anniversary since its TV debut in 1994, alongside Mobile Suit Gundam W and Mobile Suit Gundam X, both of which will celebrate their 30th anniversaries starting next year. The event will feature a stage greeting with guests: Tomokazu Seki (voice of Domon Kasshu from Mobile Fighter G Gundam), Hikaru Midorikawa (voice of Heero Yuy from Mobile Suit Gundam W), and Wataru Takagi (voice of Garrod Ran from Mobile Suit Gundam X). Final episodes from each series will be screened.
*The previously scheduled Mobile Fighter G Gundam: Bakunetsu Cheer Screening! Chokyu Haoh Den Ei Kai has been replaced with Gundam G/W/X 30th Special Screening with Domon, Heero, and Garrod! in Gundam Theater @Fukuoka.
