Actual Gundam Assemble kits were on display for the first time!
The Tokyo venue for GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-, a large-scale event where you can experience what awaits for the Gundam series in the future, began today on Friday, February 21st, at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba. The event will be held until Monday, February 24th, and it is free to enter.
This event is the culmination of the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025- event series, which was held across all 47 prefectures in Japan to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series. It will be a place that connects the feelings of Gundam series fans all over the country to the Osaka-Kansai Expo right around the corner and the future of humanity.
At the venue, there was a 6.5m tall monument made from GUNPLA runners collected from fans, exhibits related to the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION, a life-size GQuuuuuuX head from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, and exhibits of many other latest items, including GUNPLA.

At the venues, message cards from fans from all 47 prefectures of Japan written during GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025- (held since June 2024) will be collected and exhibited. There will also be participatory projects such as GUNPLA Battle VR, where you can experience piloting a GUNPLA in a digital space, Gundam R (Recycle) Operation, where you can experience assembling and recycling GUNPLA, and various stage events will be held every day.
*GUNPLA Battle VR corners will only be available at the Tokyo venue. Participants will be selected through lotteries held in advance.
