AnimeJapan 2025 Photo Report! A 1/1 Scale GQuuuuuuX Head, 1/10 Scale Red Gundam Statue, and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM x Edo Kiriko were On Display!

Including rare Gundam W background illustrations and animation cels!

AnimeJapan 2025, one of the world's largest anime events, was held at Tokyo Big Sight for two days on Saturday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 23rd, 2025.

AnimeJapan 2025 was the 12th time the event was held, and booths from 116 exhibitors (the largest number of exhibitors in the history of AnimeJapan), and a total of 52 stage events were held at four AJ stages, including the newly installed WHITE Stage. The idol group Sakurazaka46 also performed on the ambassador stage, and the total number of visitors was estimated to be 152,400 (115% higher than last year).

Many exhibits were on display at the Bandai Namco Group booth featuring themes such as Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX and the 45th anniversary of GUNPLA. There were panels of Machu, Nyaan, and Shuji, as well as a GUNPLA 1/1 scale GQuuuuuuX Head, 1/10 Scale GQuuuuuuX Statue, and a GUNPLA 1/10 scale Red Gundam Statue.
A Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Special Stage was held on the AJ Stage, where Tomoyo Kurosawa (VA of Machu), Shimba Tsuchiya (VA of Shuji), Shinji Kawada (VA of Challia Bull), Shin Yuuki (VA of Char Aznable), and Mariya Ise (VA of Annqi), made an appearance. The stage performance was archived and streamed on YouTube's Gundam Channel, so be sure to check it out.

Furthermore, the CoMix Wave Film booth featured background illustrations used in Mobile Suit Gundam W: Endless Waltz by art background Studio Bihou, as well as animation cels from Mobile Suit Gundam W.

At the AnimeJapan 2025 Official Goods corner, a sample of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM × Edo Kiriko, a limited edition item created through a collaboration between anime and traditional crafts throughout Japan, was on display.

The next AnimeJapan 2026 will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, March 28th, and Sunday, March 29th, 2026. Stay tuned for future updates.
