Gundam World CONTRAST in Nagoya Starts Today! Compare Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED!

The Gundam series’ new traveling exhibition event, Gundam World CONTRAST in Nagoya, will be held at the Parco Gallery on the 6th floor in the west building of Nagoya PARCO in Aichi Prefecture starting Friday, December 24, 2021.

It was developed as a Gundam event that’s never been held before as it takes the charms of both Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, digs deeply through them from various angles, and interweaves them in a display that contrasts them.
The display corner is split up into four areas that contrast the series from different angles like their historical backgrounds, famous scenes, or how the main characters grow throughout the story. In the sales corner, there are various kinds of limited edition merchandise for sale including GUNPLA that can’t be bought anywhere but here, apparel goods, and sundries.

Presale tickets are available until 8:00 PM the day before and come in two types, the regular presale ticket and the presale ticket with a limited Haropla, that are currently available for sale on E+. There will be same-day tickets available at the venue. Also, same-day tickets will be available at the venue for 1,000 yen (incl. tax) for adults and 500 yen (incl. tax) for children.
Participants will receive a Gundam World CONTRAST Limited Design Special Promotion Card that can be used on the latest arcade card game, Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base (scheduled to be released in early spring 2022), as a freebie when they arrive at the venue.

There will also be items available for sale like the event-limited RG Gundam & Aile Strike Gundam Set [Gundam World CONTRAST Color], so don’t miss this chance! The event will be held until Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Same-day tickets can be purchased at the reception desk of Gundam World CONTRAST in the PARCO Gallery.

*The number of same-day tickets available depends on how many presale tickets of both kinds were sold. There may be days when no same-day tickets will be available.
*Please check the number of same-day tickets available either at the venue or on the Nagoya PARCO official Twitter.
*There are no same-day tickets that come with the limited Haropla.
*”Children” are considered children middle school age or under (roughly age 15). (Middle school aged children will be asked to show their student ID.)
*Preschool-aged children can participate in the event for free, but they must be accompanied by a guardian.
*Please wear a mask and disinfect your hands at the event.
*Your temperature will be taken upon arrival.
*People who refuse to wear a mask or have a temperature of higher than 37.5°C (99.5°F) will be refused entry.
*Throughout the event, we will uphold strict standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among participants and venue staff.

This Story Wall is composed of scenes from the points of view of Amuro Ray, the main character of Mobile Suit Gundam, and Kira Yamato, the main character of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
The story of each series is split up into four areas. Each area includes spatial staging that matches the theme, dioramas presenting various scenes in 3D, special 3D panels of Amuro and Kira that use illustrations specially drawn for this event, and screenings of film footage.

Special Photo Spot
There will be a photo spot where you can immerse yourself in the CONTRAST universe with original visuals as your background.

CONTRAST Diorama Displays by Meijin Kawaguchi
Katsumi Kawaguchi of BANDAI SPIRITS, also known as GUNPLA evangelist Meijin Kawaguchi has created new dioramas of Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
