Comments from AnimeJapan 2022 Official Ambassador Takanori Nishikawa
Thank you to everyone who participated in AnimeJapan 2022!
I was so relieved to have finally been able to welcome people into the event. Although we had to take measures such as limiting the number of attendees, checking temperatures, using sanitizer, etc., I was super happy to see everyone enjoying themselves.

We will stream footage from AJ Stage once more.
I hope you can find lots of information from official sites and social media on the booths that you might not have gotten to see so that you can enjoy AnimeJapan to the very end.
I think that anime, manga, games, and the activities that accompany them are not just part of our culture, but they are also bridges that connect people all over the world. At a time when the world is highly unstable, I hope they can be catalysts for others to understand the cultures, features, customs, and traditions of other countries by transcending regional and national borders, even if they don’t have direct effects. Such cultural exchanges will be needed in the future as well, which is why I think that events like this one are so meaningful.

Once again, I have realized that I would like to continue to be highly involved in such activities and do my best to encourage feelings of peace and friendship across the world through the use of anime.
Although the event was finally held in person, I wasn’t able to see everyone’s expressions due to the masks we wore. I hope that next time, I’ll be able to see everyone’s bright smiles!
That’s all from me, Takanori Nishikawa, AnimeJapan 2022’s official ambassador!
