DiverCity Tokyo Plaza Infected with Gundam! “GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN” to be Held!

It has been decided that “GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN”, a large-scaled Gundam event that will land in Japan for the first time, will be held at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo.

“GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN” is an event where you can enjoy all the worlds of Gundam at once with a building takeover, a 21 1/10 scale statue exhibit, stamp rally, and sales of original merchandise. Definitely please come to visit!
The event will be held from November 20, 2017 (Mon) to January 8, 2018 (Mon, holiday). Admission is free.

■ Finally Lands in Japan for the First Time! But What is GUNDAM docks?

“GUNDAM docks” is a large-scale event from overseas that collaborates Gundam with large commercial facilities. It first began with “GUNDAM docks at HONG KONG” in 2013 at Times Square Hong Kong before then being brought to Singapore and even Taiwan. “GUNDAM docks at TAIWAN”, held in October 2017, was a huge success each day and has become a huge topic.
The venue will be entirely infected with Gundam with large statues modeled after Gunpla on display and the sales of limited edition products.

■ Varying Gundam Series Takeovers Depending on the Floor!

During “GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN”, decorations and displays from varying Gundam series will be set up respectively on each and every floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Gundam designs will be installed throughout the facility including pillars, entrances, the atrium glass, and elevators.

1/10 scale Gundam statues will be displayed in accordance to their series on the 1^st, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th floors. The atrium space from the 4^th to 6^th floors will feature large Haro balloons that are approximately two meters in size. “3D Trick Photo”, where 3D photos can be taken as if you’ve stepped into an anime, will also be installed in the 4^th floor event space. Let’s enjoy the previous generations of Gundam series while walking inside.

■ A Lineup of 21 1/10 Statues on the Large Staircase Next to the “Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue!”

The large staircase in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza’s Festival Plaza, which will become the main spot of this event, will exhibit a total of 21 1/10 scale statues of Gundam, GM, and Zaku. Video projections due to LED technology will also occur behind the exhibit. You will be able to enjoy an impressive production thanks to the exhibit’s collaboration with the “Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue.”

■ Various Campaigns Like a Stamp Rally and Original Merchandise Sales to be Held!

During the event period, various campaigns will also be conducted such as a stamp rally and sales of original merchandise. The details will be gradually announced on the event’s official website, so be sure to check it out.

A Stamp Rally to Receive a Mobile Cleaner!

A stamp rally where you will receive a mobile cleaner with an original design when you collect stamps from around the facility will be hosted. The designs will change between the Federation and Zeon depending on the time period, so try challenging it multiple times.
※ The number of prizes given in a day are limited. The rally will end as soon as the designated number of prizes have been given out.

During the event period, the paper cup in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza’s 2^nd floor food court will be changed to an original “GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN” design.
※ The number of cups available in a day are limited. The design will no longer be given out as soon as all stock is gone.

“Gundam Prizes” Added to the Christmas Campaign!

The “Gundam Prizes”, where Gundam products will be won through a raffle, will be added to the “Christmas Present Campaign 2017” that will take place at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Even if you receive a “miss” card, W Change allows you one chance to challenge the Garapon wheel lottery when you collect five “miss” cards. Definitely give it a try!

A scratch card will be given at the register for every 2,000 yen that you spend at any store inside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. If you receive a “win” card, you will be given a prize at the campaign counter in the building. You can also challenge the Garapon wheel lottery once with five “miss” scratch cards.
※ The event will end once all prizes are claimed.

Gundam Fan Club Coupon Present!

A present project will be implemented through the official Gundam Fan Club app where you will receive coupons that can be used at DiverCity stores when you download the app and show a select screen to the General Information booth on the 3^rd floor of DiverCity.

GUNDAM docks Original Merchandise Sales!

GUNDAM docks original merchandise will be sold at the Gundam Trailer Shop located at the foot of the Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue.
We have been told that original design products such as stationery goods are currently being prepared, so please watch for further announcements on the official event website.

■ THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO Events! Including the “GBWC2017 Finals Award Ceremony!”

Various events are also scheduled to be held during the “GUNDAM docks at TOKYO JAPAN” event period at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO, a Gunpla center located on the 7^th floor of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.

Gunpla Assembly Experience Classroom!

During the event period, an “Assembly Experience Classroom”, where even beginners can experience the fun in Gunpla, will be hosted in the GUNDAM BASE TOKYO event space. Participants can bring home the Gunpla that they’ve built, so definitely be sure to participate.
