Japan's largest hobby event, the "59th All Japan Model Hobby Show", was held at Tokyo Big Sight on September 28, 2019 (Sat). A special stage was held for "Gundam Build Divers Re: RISE"

Chiaki Kobayashi, who plays the role of Hiroto, Masaaki Mizunaka, who plays the role of Kazami, mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, Ryouta Kiyomiya from the BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Department, and MC Yuki Ayami were on stage. They shared the latest information available on mecha and gunpla. Let's go over the updates now.

First of all, when asked about the impressions of their roles, Kobayashi said ”I thought he is a good kid for being able to properly use words of gratitude and apology. (As the story progresses) I feel he's starting to open his heart heart little by little." Mizunaka answered, "I thought he is a beloved character, so I use a healthy loud voice.” To Kobayashi he added "I've been very noisy since the beginning you know", and that invited laughter from the venue.

Next, Ebikawa, when asked about the Earthree Gundam mechanism, said "It is designed to be fun and easy to play with". Kiyomiya commented on Ebisugawa ’s stylish design, “I formed it into a three-dimensional figure. To evolve gunpla, we evolved the shape of the joint.  It incorporates a different recombination system that has never existed before.” They revealed it was designed so that the parts would not come off while moving. Kobayashi said of the active form of Earthree Gundam. "I felt the romance of a man in the changing form", and showed a smile.

Continuing on, in speaking about Gundam Justice Knight, Mizunaka said with a touch of excitement, “It's really cool! A sword is also included, and you can play with it down to the fine details. It's a gunpla with a high level of satisfaction isn't it.” Kiyomiya said, “It's arranged like a knight, so there are cool posings that can be made", and gave advice about good poses that can be recreated from the anime and your own poses.

For future lineups, in addition to products released from October to December, May's gunpla "WoDom Pod" was announced to be currently in development. After that, there are final comments from the speakers, and the stage ended.

The October 10, 2019 (Thu) release date approaches. It will be distributed on YouTube, but all the staff and I feel the same as if we were making a TV series. Many designers are participating, and a lot of interesting mechas will also appear, so please look forward to it.

Masaaki Mizunaka(voice of Kazami)
