Details of the METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam Releasing in July Have Been Revealed! Funnel Flight Scenes can be Recreated!
Pre-orders begin on February 8th at general retail stores!
BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division will release the METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam in July, and its details have been revealed today on Monday, February 7th. It will be available for 35,200 JPY (tax included).
The Hi-ν Gundam drawn by mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children novel joins the METAL BUILD series.
Its rifle has a sling belt and its shield has ink spot camouflage patterns to pay homage to the illustration drawn for the frontispiece of the novel. The rifle's sling belt has been recreated using soft materials and its flexible shape plays an important role when creating action poses.
The iconic Funnels on the back adopt designs with color gradation. The base of the backpack can be rotated to spread out the Funnels like wings, and the thrusters can be moved and exposed to create poses that seem to assist the discharge of energy as features unique to this figure.
The shoulder armor, chest, and front armor parts have opening gimmicks where their internal mechanism can be exposed. Its precise mechanical molds make viewers imagine how the internal structures function. Its wide range of articulation in the arms allows for action poses where the Beam Sabers are being pulled out, and the tip of the shield can slide to extend the muzzle.
A display base that enhances the features of the Mobile Suit comes with joint arms for the Funnels to recreate aerial poses inspired by combat scenes from the series.
