The HG Gundam G40 (Industrial Design Ver.) will be rereleased on Saturday, April 11th at the general GUNPLA facility THE GUNDAM BASE.
This product is a part of the Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project and was created under the concept of verifying a Gundam designed as a product by KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN. The Gundam created through this process was featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Gundam×KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN×LDH JAPAN “G40 Project” promotional video, and the action scenes from the video became the starting point to develop this GUNPLA.
The 18-meter tall MS was designed in the same process as ordinary industrial products, and its 3D design was verified while focusing on human-like forms and movements while pursuing a realistic structure. The main camera on the head is recreated with a foil sticker to resemble linear movement, and the legs were designed with a focus on articulation and silhouettes.
The joints of the arms resemble the structure of the human skeletal system and the abdomen can twist and stretch out further than the human body.
A special booklet that compiles the designs during the development process is also included.
The product offers interpretations by assembling realistic gimmicks and structures, as well as the feeling of creating something “beyond imagination” that enables you to experience the future possibilities of plastic models. Be sure to get it.
