The MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam, the second installment in the MGEX GUNPLA series, will go on sale on Saturday, November 19th. It will be available doe 15,400 JPY (tax included).
MGEX is a high-end brand from the MG (Master Grade) series that pursues “extreme expressions” of Mobile Suits based on themes set for each unit by combining technology accumulated by BANDAI SPIRITS and various types of materials.
This item takes on the challenge to reach the pinnacle of “Extreme Metallic Combination”in the history of GUNPLA, and uses a total of 6 methods (three types of special processes, two types of metallic molding, and etching stickers) to recreate the metallic appearance of the internal frame.
This internal frame also has the highest level of interlocking movable parts. Gimmicks where armor parts move in conjunction seen in certain MG and RG kits have been adopted in various sections of this kit. It offers a whole new experience where the movements of the parts are linked in an almost organic manner.
Red clear parts have been adopted, and the structure results in larger gaps between the armor parts to emphasize the presence of the internal frame. The gimmicks of the internal frame that can be seen when the parts are moved make the multi-layered structure stand out, while creating two-step pull out/articulation structures that enable the natural recreation of flight poses where both legs overlap.
It also comes with a wide variety of armaments such as the Long Range Beam Rifle, Xiphias 3 Rail Cannons, and Super Lacertas, as well as a paper runner stand to manage all of the runners during the assembly process.
