The "HG Gundam G40 (Industrial Design Ver.)", created from the perspective of industrial design, with the theme of "From Anime to Reality" by "KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN" led by industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama, will be released December 14, 2019 (Sat). Price is ¥3,300 (tax inc).

This item is part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project", and is a conceptualization of what would happen if "KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN" researched and designed a Gundam as a real project. This gundam appears in "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary GUNDAM×KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN×LDH JAPAN" G40 Project PV, and a gunpla that can reproduce the actions in this video has been developed.

The 18m mobile suit goes through the same design production process as a normal industrial product, and is inspected during the 3D design process. While striving for human-like form and movement, a realistic structure is pursued. The main camera on the head is envisioned as moving in a line, and is expressed through a "foil decal". In addition to the movement of the legs, there is design emphasis on the silhouette as well.

Also, the arm joints emulate the human body, and the torso twisting and extension movements have a greater mobility than the human body.
