The Moving Gundam’s New Show, GFY WInter Illumination 2023 feat. GUNDAM SEED Series, Using Music from the SEED Series Starts on December 1st!

At GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA (GFY), the facility housing the Life-sized Moving Gundam, will have a special winter show called GFY Winter Illumination 2023 feat. GUNDAM SEED Series starting on Friday, December 1st.

This special show uses music from the Gundam SEED series, including T.M. Revolution’s INVOKE and ignited as well as Mika Nakashima’s FIND THE WAY. Various lights and lasers are used to create a gorgeous, impactful show.

The Yokohama coastal art illumination Yorunoyo 2023 and the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM x Gundam Café YOKOHAMA Satellite Collaboration will also begin on Friday, December 1st, and on Sunday, December 10th, there will be a Life-sized Moving Gundam Rock-Paper-Scissors Competition.

GFY is once again participating in the Yokohama coastal art illumination event Yoru ni Arawareru Hikari no Yokohama (A Lit-Up Yokohama Appearing in the Night) <Yorunoyo 2023>.
During that period, GUNDAM-DOCK, the facility that houses the Moving Gundam, will work with Yorunoyo’s illuminations.
Now, the 2nd floor deck of the GUNDAM-LAB area inside the facility is a viewpoint where you can have perfect views of Yorunoyo’s Highlight of Yokohama. Please experience this sight that you can only see during this event at GFY.

Starting on Friday, December 12, the GUNDAM Café YOKOHAMA Satellite on the 2nd floor of the facility will hold a collaboration event in commemoration of the release of the film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM.
During that period, products such as latte art with characters such as the Rising Freedom Gundam or Kira Yamato will be available. Also, people who purchase drinks from the café or the GFY food truck will receive an original coaster.

On Sunday, December 10th, there will be another Rock-Paper-Scissors competition against the Moving Gundam since it’s always very popular. It will be held twice this time, once at 1:00 PM and another at 4:00 PM, so more people can participate.
Those who win will be allowed to take photos in a certain area that people are usually not allowed to visit. Do your best!

*Entry tickets to GFY are required to participate.
*Participation tickets will be distributed at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM that day. (Only available while supplies last.)
*If the event is unable to be held due to bad weather, there will be an announcement on GFY’s official X account the evening before.
*The special photo spot is in an area with unstable flooring. If you’re going to participate, please don’t wear high heels or sandals. Please follow the staff’s instructions on what to do with your items, where to go, and the rules regarding photography.
*Because of this special program, the Moving Gundam shows usually scheduled for those times will be canceled.
