GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA, Opening on December 19! A Facility Report

Once guests step foot into the Entrance of the facility, they will be met with photos depicting the history of the Moving Gundam.
Continue past the entrance and you will reach the GUNDAM-DOCK, a deck that houses the Moving Gundam and where the staff performs maintenance.
The GUNDAM-DOCK is open from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with different performances every 30-minute interval throughout the day. There are plans for special seasonal performances, so we hope you’ll look forward to it.

The tour for the press included a “Take-off performance” (8 min) and “storage performance” (5 min) show featuring the Moving Gundam, which overwhelmed members of the press with its impact.
The GUNDAM-DOCK TOWER allows you to witness the Moving Gundam’s head and body up close at a height of 15 to 18 meters, overlooking the spectacular ocean view of Yokohama from the Gundam itself. Viewing it from a different angle lets guests experience the sheer scale of the Moving Gundam.

GUNDAM-LAB features panels and movies of the production process of the Moving Gundam, its complex mechanisms, layout, and structure. Not only that, there is an AR experience corner within the facility which allows guests to learn about the technology while having fun.
Within the VR dome GUNDAM Pilot View SoftBank 5G EXPERIENCE, a 5G network is used to display the 18m life-size Moving Gundam in real-time. Place your feet on the sensors in front of the screen and using the control panel will show a simulation video of the pilot walking into the cockpit as if the guest is in their shoes. Once inside, guests will be immersed in a fantastic view of the city of Yokohama with voice navigation by popular voice actors from the Gundam series, so be sure to experience it for yourself.

GUNDAM Café YOKOHAMA Satellite has a wide range of GFY original menus, local food unique to Yokohama, as well as exclusive merchandise that can only be purchased at the facility.
Guests can enjoy their meal while marveling at the Moving Gundam.
