Eight Creators Including Director Yoshiyuki Tomino were Honored in the Anime Achievement Category at Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2021!

Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2021 (TAAF2021), a festival hosted by The Association of Japanese Animations and co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, selected and honored eight creators including Yoshiyuki Tomino in the Anime Achievement Category.
The Anime Achievement Category is aimed to honor creators who have greatly contributed to the expansion of the animation industry and culture, and praises countless years of achievements in the production scene. It focuses on people who have contributed to the improvement of the social status of the anime industry through educational activities and international cultural exchange.
This year eight creators were honored, including director Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator and director of Mobile Suit Gundam who started a new era in the Japanese large-robot anime genre; Takao Koyama, the scriptwriter for titles such as Dragon Ball Z and The Brave Express Might Gaine; and Takeshi Seyama, who was in charge of editing titles such as AKIRA and Gintama.
Introductions and special programs featuring the honored creators are scheduled to be held between Friday, March 12, 2021 ~ Monday, March 15, 2021 at the TAAF2021 venue in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Please look forward to future updates.
