Yoshikazu Yasuhiko has received the Special Award from the Association at the 44th Japan Academy Film Prize. He has continuously covered roles as animation director, character designer, and overall directions for a large number of works, such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN, Crusher Joe, and many more.
The Japan Academy Film Prize was established to promote the development of Japanese film art, technique and science, and aims to award the most deserving people who contributed to the promotion of Japanese cinema each year it is held.
The Special Award from the Association is awarded to those who, through different roles, supported the film production scene.
