GUNDAM UNIVERSAL CENTURY DEVELOPMENT ACTION (GUDA) Begins!
The franchise called “Gundam” started forty years ago with the original airing of Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979, and through the various series that have been released throughout the years, it has always run alarm bells in regard to population growth and worsening global environment. Bandai Namco Group believes that the messages in “Gundam” relating to population and environmental problems have merit for humanity regarding the future. Using the teachings of the Universal Century and “Gundam” as a rallying banner, Bandai Namco Group will proceed with various actions with a goal for a better world by teaming up with fans and partner companies all around the world for the sake of the children of the future.
As GUDA’s first act, starting April 2021, a collaborative project between Bandai Namco Holdings, BANDAI SPIRITS, Bandai Namco Amusement, and Bandai Logipal called the GUNPLA Recycle Project will start. They will collect the runners that remain after GUNPLA are built and use chemical recycling, a cutting-edge technology, to reuse those runners in new plastic model products as part of their goal to create a sustainable society.
