A collection of Miyatake Kazutaka’s works, pioneer of mechanical designs in the world of Japanese animation, “MIYATAKE KAZUTAKA MEGA DESIGNER CREATED MEGA STRUCTURES [Miyatake Kazutaka Collection” will be on sale from April 28 (Friday) by Hobby Japan.

A collection of works following Miyatake Kazutaka’s footprints, the book contains around 120 illustrations shown previously in a 2015 “Miyatake Kazutaka Exhibition”, abroad the Memorial Ship “Mikasa”. On the front cover, we see an illustration from “Psalm of Planets Eureka Seven” but the book also features “Mobile Suit Gundam”, “Mazinger Z”, “Aura Battler Dunbine”, “Space Battleship Yamato” and “Macross Delta”. Miyatake’s works are 4x5 positive shoot, and thanks to a high quality definition scan of the linework, the original colours are faithfully reproduced.
At the end of the book, there are details regarding the talk show from the “Miyatake Kazutaka Exhibition”, featuring Miyatake himself, Katō Naoyuki and Morita Shigeru. Also, it includes an article with the conversation transcripts between Miyatake and Morita.
