The Latest Development Information Video for Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom has been Released! Further Details About the Project will be Unveiled on March 22nd!

The latest information video for the new virtual reality (VR) visual work Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom in development has been released.

Silver Phantom is jointly produced by Bandai Namco Film Works and VR production company Atlas V based in Paris, France. Astrea, a distributor of numerous VR works, is in charge of distribution, and it is planned to be released on Meta's VR headset Meta Quest.

This video was introduced at the world's largest creative conference event SXSW 2024 that was held at the Austin Convention Center in the United States.
At the SXSW 2024 panel session, Meta XR producer Ryan Genji Thomas, Kenichi Suzuki, and Bandai Namco Film Works Executive Producer Naohiro Ogata appeared.
Suzuki has previously directed GUNDAM EVOLVE../8 GAT-X105 STRIKE GUNDAM, GUNDAM EVOLVE../14 Musha Gundam, and SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors, and it was announced that he will also serve as the director for Silver Phantom.
Additionally, the technical challenges and prospects for expressing Gundam as a VR work are discussed, and the video provides a glimpse into the production process.
