NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen "Anime Kohaku" guest list announced! TOKIO will perform "Fly, Gundam"!

The song list for "Anime Kohaku", a special segment of the 66th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen broadcast on NHK-G and NHK Radio 1, has been announced.

Anime Kohaku will feature Kohaku performers covering theme songs from some of Japan's most famous works of animation, with Mobile Suit Gundam's theme "Fly, Gundam" to be performed by legendary boy band TOKIO.

Also in the lineup are AKB48 performing the Sailor Moon theme, Golden Bomber performing the Pokemon theme, Sayuri Ishikawa and miwa performing the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme, and E-girls and Sakurako Ohara performing the Chibi Maruko-chan theme. Rounding out the lineup are King Crimson Soda with the Yo-Kai Watch theme—as well as some yokai!—and V6 performing the Astro Boy theme.

Later in the broadcast, MISIA will make a special appearance live from Peace Park in her hometown of Nagasaki.
Illuminated by 10,000 candles, and bearing a message of peace, she will perform the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans theme "Orphans no Namida". Don't miss it!
