Asia's biggest anime and gaming event, 'Ani-com Hong Kong 2011,' was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre between July 29th and August 2nd.
At the event, which focused on the display and sale of anime goods, there were also game demos, on-stage appearances, and a variety of events which drew attendees from all over China.
Bandai's booth exhibited items like Gunpla and figures, with a special focus on the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. The booth was popular in Hong Kong, with many visitors.
Displays of the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE trailer on the booth's stage drew quite a few viewers. After the showings, Executive Producer Miyakawa spoke about key points of the show. Many attendees dropped by to hear the latest about Gundam AGE.
Gundam.info was also promoted on-stage. Gundam.info brings the newest Gundam news straight from Japan to the rest of the world. with a strong focus on Asian markets. A version is offered in Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong.
Gundam AGE wasn't the only Gundam series on display; the same lineup as Japanese shows was there, including the new RG Zaku II and FW STANDart:10.
Items sold at the event included Gunpla from Bandai and goods like iPhone cases and neckstraps from other makers. There were even products like limited-edition color neckstraps.
Entries in the Gunpla Builders World Cup 2011 and Dengeki Hobby's King of Gunpla 2011 were also on display.
Their skilled execution and creative design made them a popular subject for photographs.
