Anime-affiliated companies, organizations, and contents that represent Japan will gather together at “AnimeJapan 2017”, the largest anime event in the country, and will be held in March 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight.
It has been revealed that “Family Anime Festa”, which was previously held as a part of AnimeJapan until last year, will be independently held.
■ It’s a “AnimeJapan 2017” that all attendees, both domestic and foreign, can enjoy!
Anime-affiliated companies and organizations that represent Japan will have a large number of exhibitions. A large variety of contents and exhibition booths with great individuality will also gather together in one building at this event. The event will take place in Tokyo Big Sight’s East Hall 1 to 7 and will have various festivities such as stage panels and displays at the same huge scale as the previous event.
Admission tickets will go on sale on December 12th (Fri). Details will be announced at a later date.
Main Area (East Hall 1-7) Plan Details
[RGB Stage]
Presentations and talk events for the latest anime series, concerts, and various performances will be held on this stage and can be attended with an advanced lottery ticket.
※ In order to participate in the stage event, it is required to apply for the lottery for the stage-viewing prior to the event.
[Open Stage]
A production event devoted to planning and design. Presentations and talk events for the latest anime series will be held on stage and anyone can watch freely without a ticket.
※ The front seats will be advanced lottery and invitation seats only.
[Food Park]
The hugely popular “food park” from AnimeJapan 2016 will also be at the event. Warm, delicious food will be sold.
[Cosplayers’ World]
An area distinctive to “AnimeJapan 2017” will be offered for those that love domestic and foreign cosplayers and cosplays that they can enjoy.
[Official Goods (Traditional Collaboration Craft Goods & AJ Gacha)]
“Japan’s traditional crafts x anime”, a premium collaboration between anime and outside businesses, has been proposed. AJ Gacha will also have an AnimeJapan specially designed tin badge, with various designs you can enjoy, that can be bought at random from “GachaGacha”s.
[Anime Collaboration Exhibition Project]
Alongside the premium collaboration between anime and outside businesses, past anime collaborations will be on display as a guide for new anime businesses.
Creation Area (in the Main Area) Plan Details
[Seminar Stage]
A workshop called “Creator Course” where one can receive direct advice from well-known creators currently at the forefront of the industry will be held. There will also be a “Business Seminar” that will not only have beneficial information for business attendees, but can also be enjoyed by general attendees freely.
[Production Works Gallery]
A gallery of production materials utilized during production that display the charm and amazingness of anime. The attendees will be able to feel the fun in creating anime and the gallery will act as motive that causes one to aspire towards anime production.
Business Area (Conference Tower 1F Reception Hall) Plan Details
[Anime Business Concierge]
Anime business consultations. There will be all kinds of consultations such as inquiry correspondences geared towards outside businesses working with an animation business for the first time or inquiries on how to expand your anime business.
[Business Seminar]
A panel relevant to anime businesses at the seminar stage. The seminar will not only have beneficial information for business attendees, but can also be enjoyed freely by general attendees.

“Family Anime Festa 2017” will be held completely independently at the same time!
“Family Anime Festa”, which was previously held as a part of AnimeJapan, will be held completely independent of the event in East Hall 8. Admission will be free not only for those elementary school age and under, but also for their guardians. Similar to the previous event, an exclusive entrance will be established for the family-only area.

[Play Corner]
A unique corner distinctive to Family Anime Festa where one can take pictures and walk around.
[Family Food Park]
A menu will be sold geared towards families. The previously popular resting space where attendees can take off their shoes and be comfortable will also be established.
[Kids Workshop Corner]
Kids can experience firsthand the production of original merchandise for popular anime series and how anime is made.
[Family Stage]
Children can enjoy a fascinating stage with character shows from popular anime series.
