Opening Ceremony & Autograph Session! "Mechanical Designer Kunio Okawara in China" Event Report

Examining the history of Japan's first mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, the exhibition "Mechanical Designer Okawara Kunio in China" opened March 8, 2019 (Fri) in Guangzhou, China at Taigucang Wharf.

At the event, there is over 1,500 square meters of exhibition space with 10 enormous models and 360 works on display. Also, in addition to the premiere appearance of the 6m Strike Freedom Gundam statue in China, Okawara's atelier will be replicated at actual size. Venue limited goods will also be sold.

Mr. Okawara made his appearance first thing on opening day at the venue, and there was an opening ceremony and autograph session. Filled with large numbers of fans, he enjoyed the interaction with them. Let's report on the event itself.
