The annual anime event "C3 in Shanghai 2019" was held over the three day period from April 5, 2019 (Fri) to 7 (Sun) in China at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing.

On April 6, 2019 (Sat), two parts of the special stage commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam" were held. In part 1, Junya Enoki who voices Jona Basta from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT", and in part 2, Toru Furuya who voices Amuro Ray from "Mobile Suit Gundam" appeared. Also in both parts, "Gundam NT" script writer Harutoshi Fukui and producer Naohiro Ogata appeared to great excitement.

Also, at the venue booths, companies of various genres exhibited, and announced new items and displayed them.

At the BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division, besides the premiere release of "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Ryubi Gundam (Real Type ver.)" at this event, "GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE (G.F.F.M.C)" and "GUNDAM UNIVERSE" were also displayed.

At BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, new gunpla from "SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden" which starts overseas this spring, and gunpla from "THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO" appeared.

Also, "C3AFA TOKYO 2019" will be held August 24, 2019 (Sat) and 25 (Sun) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. It is Japan's largest character & hobby event, so let's check it out as well.
