The annual convention in France which exhibits the diversity of Japanese culture, "Japan Expo", will again be held this year from July 4, 2019 (Thu) to July 7, 2019 (Sun) over a 4 day period at the Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in Paris.
At the event, a wide variety of Japanese genres is shared, including pop culture such as manga, anime, videogames, music, fashion, and movies, as well as traditional culture such as cultural arts, kimono, cuisine, and literature. It is Europe's largest Japanese culture and entertainment convention, with over 240,000 attendees in 2018. Out of all the events held in France, it has the third largest number of visitors.
The theme of the 20th edition is "Future". Chief director Yoshiyuki Tomino will appear in celebration of the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam". In addition, musical artist miwa, manga artist Go Nagai, and over 300 other guests will appear. Over 700 stage events are also planned.
Director Tomino will hold panels (talk sessions), master classes (special lectures), and autograph sessions. On July 5, 2019 (Fri) at 10:00 there will be a stage greeting and world premiere of the "Gundam Reconguista in G" theatrical movie.
Those who live nearby or visit the location during the convention period, please come and participate.
