The METAL BUILD Zeta Gundam will be released in April 2025. Pre-orders begin at general retail stores regular stores on Tuesday, October 1st. It will be available for 44,000 JPY (tax incl.).
The Zeta Gundam will finally join the METAL BUILD series as a transformable figure made by renowned creators using alloy materials.
Naka Morifumi, the mechanical animation director for the Mobile Suit Z Gundam film trilogy, was in charge of the figure’s styling advisor, recreating the beautiful Waverider Form silhouette seen in the series. Its structure makes use of the rigid properties of the die-cast metal materials, allowing it to transform into the Waverider Form, and structures unique to this rendition of the MS to culminate in a complex yet streamlined transformable structure.
The thruster covers on the calves can be deployed, and the Grenade Launchers on the arms can be opened by attaching cartridges.
The Beam Rifle's silhouette can be changed by extending or retracting the barrel, saber effect parts can be attached to both ends, and it can also be mounted onto the Flying Armor parts.
The Beam Saber handles can be stored in the waist parts, and the Shield's extending function has also been recreated.
