The AI Interactive Communication Robot “Guncierge Haro” is Set for Release!

The release of “Guncierge Haro” as the first installment of the BN & Bot PROJECT, an IT entertainment service brand worked on by the Bandai Namco Group, was decided.

“Guncierge Haro” is an interactive communication robot equipped with AI (artificial intelligence) and had been developed with the idea, what if Haro, the mascot robot that appears in Mobile Suit Gundam, existed in modern times? The robot is well-versed in Mobile Suit Gundam knowledge. “Guncierge” is a blend of the words “Gundam” and “concierge.”

Its greatest feature is that while creating a fun conversation specialized in the world of the character, it will recognize voice input from the user’s speech and will analyze its meaning and intention with AI technology. The most suitable conversation will be repeated in Haro’s voice from its database, making it possible to enjoy various conversations related to the series including the characters, lines, and unforgettable scenes.

This product will also be featured in a reference exhibit at “CEATEC JAPAN 2017”, which will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba for four days from October 3^rd (Tues) to the 6^th (Fri), so definitely please try visiting if you’re interested. Admission fees will be 1,000 yen (tax included) for same-day public entry and 500 yen (tax included) for students. Admission is free for those who pre-registered.

Features

① The main body’s size is approximately 19cm in diameter and will converse while connected to a Wi-Fi network. You can enjoy various conversations that include questions, extensive knowledge and quizzes related to Mobile Suit Gundam.

② Its eyes and mouth have built-in LED lights and will produce its condition and expressions with colors and blinking lights. Its adorable movements have been reproduced and includes vibrating in all directions and turning in the direction of the person that’s speaking.

③ Functions outside of conversation can also be used such as its external speakers and alarm function through connecting it to your smartphone with Bluetooth®.
