This kit pursues to recreate the anime setting illustrations drawn by Kazumi Fujita, who was in charge of the mechanical designs for Mobile Suit Z Gundam, while also recreating the proportions in the anime series. The structure and shape of each unit has been refined, and a transformation mechanism has been created that maintains the proportions of the machine in both MS form and Wave Rider Form. The complex gimmicks have been simplified and an updated transformation process has been incorporated.
The kit has a wide range of articulation in MS Form, enabling faithful recreations of poses from the series. The locking mechanisms are used in Wave Rider Form, allowing for stable displays reminiscent of fixed aircraft models.
Metallic extra finishes have been applied to various sections on the MS, and water transfer decals designed by Hajime Katoki are also included.
Various forms of content regarding the kit, such as Information about the evolution of GUNPLA and a transformation simulator, can be enjoyed on the special page in the Bandai Hobby Site. Be sure to check it out.
