Applications for the GUNPLA Builders World Cup 12th Tournament Begin on May 21st!

Applications for the Japan tournament of the GUNPLA Builders World Cup (GBWC) 12th Tournament, an official global GUNPLA contest held by BANDAI SPIRITS, begin on Tuesday, May 21st.

This tournament has three courses separated by age: the U-14 Course, the U-20 Course, and the OVER-21 course. Those who pass the first and second rounds in Japan will be able to join in the global finals (scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 14th) as a representative from Japan.
Applications can only be made online through the official website, and entries for the Japan tournament will be accepted until Saturday, August 31st.

Participants will be judged in three areas: their GUNPLA construction, painting, and idea creativity. Everyone from professionals to amateurs can participate, so be sure to submit your masterpiece.

Applications: 12:00 PM (JST) Tuesday, May 21, 2024 to 11:59 PM (JST) Saturday, August 31, 2024
1st round result announcement: Friday, October 11, 2024
2nd round result announcement: Wednesday, October 23, 2024
Finals result announcement/award ceremony: Saturday, December 14, 2024

[World Tournament Finals]
Submitted pieces will be judged by Akihiko Yasunaga, BANDAI SPIRITS judges, and others.
・Award Ceremony: Scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The venue will be announced at a later date.
*The 1st place winners of each area/region will be globally announced on the GBWC official website and an official video for this tournament.
*Please note that the schedule shown above is subject to change without notice.

[Courses]
・U-14 Course: Six to fourteen years old (those born after January 1, 2010 and before December 31, 2018)
・U-20 Course: Fifteen to twenty years old (those born after January 1, 2004 and before December 31, 2009)
・OVER-21: Twenty-one years old and up (those born before December 31, 2003)
*Parental permission must be given for minors to apply for entry.

[Application Method]
Enter the required information on the GBWC official website to enter. (You can only apply online).
*You must be a registered Bandai Namco ID (hereinafter referred to as BNID) member and Hobby Site Pass member.
*You will be able to register for a BNID with just your name (nickname) and email address, but you must register your actual name, address, and phone number for this tournament as they are required to ship prizes.
*A photo of your piece is required to apply.
*Please make sure that your piece maintains the same pose throughout the tournament.
*If there are falsehoods or errors in the entry’s registration data for this tournament, or if our company deems that entrants participated in this tournament using dishonest methods, the registration will be judged invalid and any prizes may be revoked.
*The winners of the 1st round (photo screening) will be decided by BANDAI SPIRITS judges. Winners will be able to proceed to the 2nd round.
