G-MISSION, a project with the aim of displaying 4,000 GUNPLA at the new Bandai Hobby Center factory, has begun, and the first GUNPLA assembly event will be held on Friday, March 28th at the Asakusa Kagekijo in Tokyo. It is free to participate.
A total of 4,000 GUNPLA built with the cooperation of fans will be exhibited at the new Bandai Hobby Center factory (scheduled for completion this summer) in Shizuoka as a part of G-MISSION 4000. The project allows visitors to experience the production efficiency of each molding machine, which can manufacture 4,000 runners. When you assemble the GUNPLA Best Mecha Collection 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (REVIVAL Ver.) distributed at the venue, your kit will be exhibited at the new factory and you will also receive a participation certificate.
LINKL PLANET, the official BANDAI SPIRITS Plastic Model kit ambassadors, will also participate in the assembly event. Details on how to participate will be announced on the BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division official website and official X account, so be sure to check them out.
The new Bandai Hobby Center factory is scheduled to be built on a site adjacent to the current Bandai Hobby Center main building which is approximately 14,724 square meters, to establish a stable production system for plastic model kits. When fully operational in 2026, it will have 10 multi-color molding machines and 84 single-color molding machines, and a new tour course will also be set up where visitors can learn about manufacturing through plastic models.
