Japanese preliminaries for Bandai's official 'Gunpla Builders World Cup 2012' begin 5/21!

The second Gunpla Builders World Cup, held by Bandai's hobby division to crown the best Gunpla builder in the world, begins in Japan May 21st.

For a second year, the tournament brings together the winners of preliminaries in Japan and twelve other countries and regions. This year's championship round will be held at Tokyo Gundam Front in December.
Entries for Japan's first round of preliminaries will be accepted beginning July 21st, following a promotional blitz at the 51st Shizuoka Hobby Show on the 19th and 20th. Other local preliminaries will be held beginning in July.

■ Japan tournament schedule
＜Round 1＞ (September)
Submitted photographs will be judged by Bandai staff.

＜Round 2＞
Photographs will be displayed at Bandai's booth at the 52nd All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show (planned for October), with both Bandai staff judges and attendee voting.

＜Final Round＞
Winning entries from Round 2 will be displayed at Gunpla Expo 2012, to be held this Fall. Japan's Champion will be chosen by a combination of attendee voting and Bandai judges.
