It has been decided that “PG 1/60 GN-001 Gundam Exia” from the PERFECT GRADE (PG) series, the most prominent brand amongst Bandai plastic models, will be released on December 2nd (Sat).
This product, which will be third installment of the GUNPLA EVOLUTION PROJECT for Gunpla’s 40th anniversary, will have light emitting as an “evolution point” from which you can experience the evolution of Gunpla.
Under the supervision of mechanical designer Mr. Kanetake Ebikawa, the mechanism that transmits GN particles throughout the entire body of the suit from GN Drive (solar furnace), its power source, has been thoroughly researched. A design arrangement and internal frame structure have been derived from that research and realized through this model.
Light emitting, created when the GN particles have accumulated and compressed, has been reproduced with “LUMINOUS ELEMENTS” that include newly designed LED parts, newly adopted light guide materials, and gimmicks.
Product specifications can be chosen to match the user’s needs. Two types, the “LIGHTING MODEL” (34,560 yen with tax included), from which you can enjoy light emitting thanks to its LED parts, and a regular version (19,440 yen with tax included) that recreates the lights with plated stickers, are scheduled to be released.
[LUMINOUS ELEMENTS 1] An armor & frame structure that allows you to experience energy transmission
This display is one you can enjoy that is reminiscent of a maintenance scene due to cables that are exposed in various areas of the suit, an internal structure that has considered the particle transmission structure of the GN Drive, as well as its armor expanding gimmick. Its impressive quality has been emphasized even further due to these elements.
[LUMINOUS ELEMENTS 2] LED parts with a completely new design that will change in color in correspondence of the accumulation or compression of GN particles
The model shows a color change that occurs because of the accumulation and compression of GN particles thanks to newly designed LED parts. The physical behavior that spins throughout the GN Drive and is transmitted throughout the entire suit is also shown with flickering lights.
[LUMINOUS ELEMENTS 3] The first ever use of “light guide material” in Gunpla to transmit light
A portion of this product’s frame uses soft silicon material. The model adopts a new material with high light guiding while both light reproduction of the GN particles that spread throughout the suit’s body and dynamic mobility coexists with one another.
