The Mobile Suit Gundam Series Was Awarded With the Selection Committee Special Award! Report of the Japan Character Award 2021 Award Ceremony

The Mobile Suit Gundam Series was awarded with the Selection Committee Special Award at the Japan Character Award 2021, within the 11th Licensing Japan Trade Show, held at Tokyo Big Sight today, Tuesday, April 14.
The Japan Character Award was established in 2009 to promote the value of the licensing business and to contribute to a sustainable growth of the field. Each year it selects the best domestic licensed brands and characters and holds an award ceremony and an exposition.
The Selection Committee Special Award is awarded to the property that has particular good potential for the future, as seen from the Selection Committee. It was awarded for the opening of GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA (GFY), a facility where guests can experience a moving GUNDAM, which made news at a social level, and for its richness in projects that bring forth innovation at all times, while having a long history of more than forty years.
