For the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project" which in 2019 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the TV series broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam", new developments were announced at the July 4, 2019 (Thu) through 7 (Sun) exhibitions of "ANIME EXPO 2019" (America) and "20th Japan Expo" (France).

At the events, the PV for this project, the announcement of the newest Gundam Build series work "Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE", theatrical version "Gundam Reconguista in G I Go! Core Fighter", and the world premiere of the 4DX version of "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" occurred. The photos from each country's events have arrived, so let's introduce the situation at the venues in this article.

At "Japan Expo", an exhibition of Japanese culture in Paris, France, the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project" PV has been unveiled.

The PV lets you feel the past 40 years of Gundam history and the numerous works, various works developed for the 40th anniversary, and hints at the projects to come in the contents.

The "Gundam Build Series" new work title was unveiled as Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE in this PV. The details for this work will be announced later, so look forward to it.

With additional new cuts and re-editing to the 2014 TV broadcast of "Gundam Reconguista in G", a new theatrical film in 5 parts was announced, with the theatrical version "Gundam Reconguista in G I Go! Core Fighter" world premiere was held at Japan Expo.

Also, the Japan screening of the theatrical version of "Gundam Reconguista in G" is also planned, so look forward to more announcements.

At Japan Expo, director Yoshiyuki Tomino appeared in a talk session.

At the autograph and photo sessions, Gundam and Tomino fans from not just France but all across Europe came for an encounter that was seen to be very exciting.

From local newspapers, magazines, and TV stations, to web media coverage, a worldwide message was sent out about the global environment, history of the economy, and secrets about the Gundam work, and the press received more answers than they thought, they sympathized and were satisfied with the responses.

Also on July 6, 2019 (Sat) local time, he appeared at a conference. Over 2,000 european fans in their 20s and 30s came to see director Tomino with their own eyes. Director Tomino answered each question from the venue enthusiastically, and the crowd stirred with each response, with cheers occassionally erupting.

In response to the question, "From the characters you have created, who is your most favorite?", he answered "Because they're characters that I have created, I like them all." A warm applause occurred after that answer.

Also, singer and songwriter miwa appeared at the end of the conference. Presenting a letter from SUGIZO to the fans in France, she sang live for the first time "A Red Ray", the ending theme to "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN Advent of the Red Comet" that is currently airing on NHK General TV and streaming in Europe.

"Mobile Suit Gundam NT" was released theatrically in 2018, and starting from July 12, 2019 (Fri) it will be released in mainland China.

The world premiere of the 4DX version was held at "Anime Expo 2019" in Los Angeles, USA.

At the venue, a talk show of the work was also held, and scriptwriter Harutoshi Fukui appeared. From the beginnings of the "Gundam NT" plot, he also spoke about the "Newtype Theory", which is an important theme of the story, and Gundam fans in their 20s through 40s carefully listened thoughtfully.

Also, the "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" 4DX version will also be screened in Japan as part of the "Gundam 40th Anniversary Project", and plans are underway for the Gundam Movie New Experience TOUR, so look forward to it.

As part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" 40th anniversary commemorative projects, "KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN", led by industrial designer Ken Okuyama, took on the Gundam as a real life design project, and the visual for "RX-78-2 Gundam" has been completed.

This new design Gundam's development is shown in the "KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN Gunpla Project Special Movie" short film, and "Char Zaku" and "Zaku" are also planned.

Also, the "RX-78-2 Gundam" is being planned as a plastic model as well, so look forward to it.
