Gundam Square, Kansai's first Gundam shop, opens in Osaka's EXPOCITY on November 19th!

Gundam Square, the Kansai region's first official Bandai-operated Gundam store, is one of the founding tenants of the massive mixed-use development Expocity which opens in Osaka's Suita City on November 19th!

Gundam Square is an official Bandai entertainment destination which will satisfy Gundam lovers while showing new fans just what's so great.
It offers both a themed cafe with meal service and a shop which carries unique and exclusive metchandise. There's also a space for events and exhibitions to show Osaka, and Osakans, the latest on Gundam,


ｦ Cafe area: Gundam Café

Gundam Square's cafe is a full Gundam Cafe location, the first in Osaka. Choose from the standard menu available at all locations or Osaka favorites like okonomiyaki and takoyaki. The Char's Zaku Rice, a favorite at the three full locations in Tokyo, is serves in five sizes, from 90g to 1350g of rice.

The staff are even decked out in outfits based on E.F.S.F. uniforms, though with a redesign just for Gundam Square.
New recordings of commanding characters like Char Aznable, Bright Noa, and Murrue Ramius handle the in-shop announcements. The Gundam Square also features a unique interactive sound system designed by Bandai Namco Studio. Eight ceiling-mounted speaker installations handle both broadcasts and special audio performances focused on designated areas. Along with announcements, special events call for special recordings!

The interactive sound system uses the realtime positional audio technology found in Bandai Namco's latest games to create interactive audio performances.
Sounds, speech, and music can all be played back interactively with control over perceived positioning, volume, and effects, allowing for a range of seamless functionality.
Up to 8 channels are supported, allowing for everything from stereo playback in small rooms to positional audio in large halls.

ｦ Shopping area: Gundam Square Shop

Gundam Square Shop is Bandai's first official Gundam outlet in the Kansai area.

In addition to a wide range of Gunpla, its lineup features Gundam Square-exclusive merchandise. Tokyo Gundam Café items and limited-time releases of event-exclusive Gunpla are planned, along with a bank of Gashapon machines.

You'll also be able to take in completed Gunpla, vast dioramas, and see a locally-curated "Select 10" lineup of top picks. For the grand opening, a look at popular designer Hajime Katoki's works is planned.

The exhibition and event area will feature Gundam-related displays, panels, autograph sessions, and more. It will become the center for Gundam news and information in Osaka.
For the grand opening, a special Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans display including a 1/10 (1.8-meter) Gundam Barbatos is on hand.
