A Video Message from Director Yoshiyuki Tomino for New York’s Japan Day Thank You Project is Here!

A video message from Mobile Suit Gundam’s director, Yoshiyuki Tomino, is here for the Japan Day Thank You Project, an online event held and shared from New York.

Japan Day is an annual event held at Central Park which aims to promote cultural understanding between the people of Japan and the U.S., show the Japanese community’s appreciation toward New York, and strengthen connections within the Japanese-Amerian community.
This year, the event will be held online from Saturday, May 1st to Sunday, May 9th.

Director Tomino’s message refers to November 15th or Gundam Day, a day when New York City celebrates the Gundam series, and he spoke to inspire the citizens of New York and the world. The video can be seen on Japan Day’s social media accounts, so be sure to check it out!
