The winning colony of this tournament is then able to rule over the others until the next tournament begins.

This tournament includes intense duels as each representative fights for their colony and everything behind it. With this, emphasis is placed on romance and relationships throughout the series.

If you’ve watched up to the end of Season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury, you’ll know that duels in Asticassia School of Technology are meant to give the winner whatever they desire. This is used to settle differences between personal wants, money, or other things.
