Akira Kawashima, Yukipoyo and More Take the Stage at TAMASHII NATION 2020! An Opening Ceremony Report

TAMASHII NATION 2020, an online event for the figure brand started today, and the opening ceremony was held on Thursday, November 5th.

Celebrities such as comedian Akira Kawashima from the duo “Kirin”, talent Yuki Kimura (Yukipoyo) as well as actors Hideaki Ito and Fumiya Takahashi took the stage.
Akira Kawashima stated: “The event is held online, so it’s great that those who haven’t attended it in the past can do so using VR and other forms of technology.” Yukipoyo commented: “All of the event commemoration items look amazing. I think there are lots of products that boys will especially love”.
Yukipoyo boarded the Pac-Man monument, a collaborative effort with Bandai Namco Group to celebrate the creation of Chogokin Pac-Man. She added: “It’s very comfortable in here. I’d even consider living in here.”

Afterward, actors Hideaki Ito and Fumiya Takahashi from the Kamen Rider Zero-One film made an appearance. Hideaki Ito is a huge fan of hero action figures and said with excitement: “I’ve really been looking forward to seeing the new S.H.Figuarts items”. As for Fumiya Takahashi, he stated, “When a character becomes an action figure, you can see it move in so many ways, which makes them so appealing”, expressing joy from the fact that the character he plays has become a figure.
