Through the good offices of Murrue, the student crew are able to meet with their parents within the Orb headquarters. Parents and children are reunited after a long time and they check each other’s safety, rejoicing in their happiness. Meanwhile, Flay has no visitors with the lost of her father. Kira also refuses to meet with his parents. His excuse is that he is busy developing the OS for the M1 Astray requested by Erica.
Flay, hearing this, explodes towards Kira with pent up feelings. “Are you pitying me? You’re the one who should be pitied!” Flay cries and pounds on his chest. Kira does not know how to respond to Flay’s words.
Kira’s parents give up meeting with him, and greet Uzumi. The Yamatos make a mysterious promise to Uzumi that they will never reveal the truth to Kira no matter what.
Kira tells the truth to Mu. If he met his parents now, he would probably ask something he doesn’t want to: why they made him a Coordinator. Just then, Birdy flies off of Kira’s shoulder, and Kira runs after it. There, at the fence, was Athrun who made it into Orb. The two meet through the fence, but all they could do was go in opposite directions.
